Friends of the SWAT Team,

We’ve taken a couple months off from our routine monthly weekend SWAT Team events to enjoy the summer and take time with our families and friends. Now it’s time to ramp it up again and begin to plan for the Fall.

Below are the dates and locations of the events that will be coordinated, September through November. We hope you can join us for some, if not all, of these events. I’ll be sending out specific Bulletins for each event as we get closer to the dates.

September 23-25: Camp Grace, Fairmont, NC

October 7-9: Mountain Top Youth Camp, Pinnacle, NC (near Pilot Mtn). This will be our first time at this camp.

November 11-13: Camp Oak Hill, Oxford, NC

Our Spring schedule is now set. Here are the dates and locations of our first 5 events of 2016. So check with your family and put these dates on your calendars. We hope you can join us. We’ll be sending special Bulletins for each as we get closer. Next weekend is the first event at Camp Cale. Attached is the Bulletin for that event.

Feb 5-7: Camp Cale, Hertford, NC

March 4-6: D. Moody Gunter Camp & Retreat Center (SC Nazarene Campground), Batesburg, SC

April 8-10: Western NC Church of God Camp and Conference Center, Whittier, NC

May 13-15: Hickory Cove Bible Camp, Taylorsville, NC

June 10-12: Victory Mountain Camp, Sophia, NC

Friends of the SWAT Team,

We are about three weeks away from our next SWAT Event, November 20-22. We’re returning to the beautiful Hickory Cove Bible Camp, near Hickory, NC, a favorite of the SWAT Team. This will be another very “family friendly” event, with lots of opportunity to “serve”, no matter what your age or abilities. We’ll find something productive to do for everyone.

We hope you can join us. You’ll be glad you did. See the bulletin for more details and exact location.

Let me know if you will be joining us and your arrival day/time. That will let the camp know how to prepare for our meals.

It’s time to gear up for the three Fall SWAT events:

New Life Camp; 9927 Falls of Neuse Rd, Raleigh, NC 27614

When: September 11^th and 12^th

They have 2 major projects for us:

• Install new doors at the entrance of the dining hall
• Paint and install many sheets of plywood on the gymnasium walls that have been damaged by basketballs.
• For those who are not involved in the above 2 projects, we’ll find other meaningful work. As you know, camps always have many things that need to be fixed, built, or beautified.

 Let me know if you will be joining us for both Friday and Saturday or for only one of the two days.

2. Virginia Nazarene Camp: Buckingham, VA

When: October 2-4
Details will be sent later.

3. Hickory Cover Bible Camp

When: sometime early November.
Details will be sent later.

Friends of the SWAT Team,

There’s been a change in our November Event, that was originally set for the weekend of November 7-8 at Camp Oak Hill. That has had to be changed completely due to the Camp recently booking a very large Retreat group event for that weekend.

So, the new date and location is November 21-23, at Victory Mtn Camp, where we’ll be working on the construction project of the new Deep Woods Lodge. I’ll send out more information as we get closer to the event.
