Various Projects to be done.

SWAT Event, April 23-25. We’ll be going to Camp Grace located in Fairmont, NC, near Lumberton. This will be another very “family friendly” event, with plenty of opportunities to “serve”, no matter what your age or abilities. We’ll find something productive to do for everyone.

Here are some of the projects we’ll be tackling:

Clean up around the trails & outside of buildings

Take care of the leaning trees

Waterfront :

   • Weed eating

   • Repair the waterslide deck

   • Remove tree near waterslide

   • Repair lifeguard stand

   • Re-paint picnic tables

Trim brush around shooting range

Repaint foosball and bladder ball

Clean and tighten rock wall

Repair and clean paintball net

Organize wood shed

Powerwashing

Feb 26-28: Camp Cale, Heartford, NC

March 26-28: Hickory Bible Camp, near Hickory, NC

April 23-25: Camp Grace, Fairmont, NC

May 21-23: Victory Mtn Camp, Sophia, NC

Event Dates:

• February 26-28, 2021 (Friday-Sunday).
• We will depart for home on Sunday after attending the morning worship service at the local Church of the Nazarene.

Location: 377 Camp Cale Rd., Hertford, NC 27944

Description of the Ministry: Camp Cale is a Christian camp of 100 acres located along the Inner Banks region of North Carolina along the shore of the Perquimans River and just minutes from Hertford, Edenton, and Elizabeth City. Their mission is three-fold: to share Christ, develop faith in campers and build community.

The SWAT Team has been to this camp several times. We always have a great time here and anticipate that this will be another rewarding weekend for all of us.

This Month’s event will be held the weekend of March 6-8.

We’ll be going to Camp Cale located in Hertford, NC, over in the eastern area of the state. This will be the fourth time we’ve held an event at this camp and it will be another very “family friendly” event, with plenty of opportunities to “serve”, no matter what your age or abilities. We’ll find something productive to do for everyone. We’ll have outside work to do as well as interior painting..

We hope you can join us. You’ll be glad you did. Folks who attend SWAT events consistently report how satisfying it is to serve others, specifically, the staff at the camps.

The location is Camp Oak Hill, near Oxford, NC, about an hour north of Raleigh. We have had a great relationship with this camp and the camp staff for many years. It’s always a great place to bring your kids to serve the Lord. Attached is the Bulletin with the details of the event.

New Life Camp, Raleigh, NC

Event Dates:

• September 6-7, 2019 (Friday-Saturday).
• Attend both days or only one day.

Location:  9927 Falls of Neuse Rd, Raleigh, NC 27614

Description of the Ministry:  New Life Camp is located on 70 acres in North Raleigh. It is a non-denominational camp owned and operated by Children’s Bible Ministries of North Carolina, Inc. They are affiliated with Children’s Bible Ministries of Townsend, Tennessee. New Life Camp has been in existence since 1950.

Work Projects:

• Move items from the Camp Shop to a new location in preparation for the building of a new Dining Hall
• Various other projects to be determined

Tools To Bring:

• Carpentry tools

Food:

• Lunches will be provided for the Team. We must know how many will be present each day so they can properly prepare.
• Bring your own snacks and/or special diet items.

Lodging:

• Electrical hookups for RV’s
• Cabins

Friends of the SWAT Team,

We have had to make a change in the October SWAT Team event date and location. We will be going to New Life Camp, located in Raleigh, for the weekend of Oct 28-29. As we get closer to that date I’ll send out the details for that event. This event will not include Sunday, as we usually do. When we complete our projects that Saturday evening we’ll be heading home.
